It was Tuesday, the 27th of April in the year 2010, when a little one was born. Her name was Tessa. She was beautiful and her parents welcomed her with love and joy. Two hours after she’d been introduced to this world, her grandparents and aunts came to meet the new addition to the family.
A newborn child is a miracle on its own. You are a miracle. Welcome to this world, my niece.

After a lot of thinking I decided to upload a pre-made theme. It’s just a temporary solution while I finish designing the new theme for this website. Room 34 have done a great job designing this simplistic WordPress theme. Thanks to them for creating something like this for free.
Last week I decided that it was time for me to create a new website. It will be a weblog where I share my opinions on products, films and books with you. I am currently designing a theme for it,while I spend the rest of my time doing homework assignments for my writing course. This writing course should be finished in September, so I’ve still got a few months left.
If you have any suggestions for this website, or the new one, feel free to leave a comment.

I had this blog entry about the winter months typed up and ready to get published, when I realised the season was almost over and the weather proved that it was spring. After about thirteen years of hardly any snow, this year we’ve had a real winter. It was about time!
But now it’s finally time for the new season with baby animals, sun and a lot of happy people. This morning I was taking a walk with my dog when I noticed people appeared much friendlier, and certainly less grumpy than they had been in the past few months. I definitely think this has something to do with spring.
Spring makes us feel like we can take on the world and leave the bad dark winter months behind us. It stands for a new beginning, a fresh start. Not just for animals, but for us as well. It is the season of new ideas and getting things done.
For me, it means I will need to catch up on some homework very soon, quit procrastinating and making some drastic changes in my life. What does spring mean to you?

Many people make the assumption that online dating is for people who don’t have the social skills to meet someone in real life. The truth is that some people are too busy to go out and meet people or want to get to know someone better before they go out on a date with them.
Through online dating people are given the chance to meet others they otherwise would never have met. Although the opinions about online dating are divided, thousands of people get married every year, thanks to online dating, so it is definitely worth a try if you’re up for it.
What’s your opinion on online dating?

It’s a bit late, but I’d like to wish everyone a happy and healthy 2010! How did you celebrate New Year? I spent it at home with my parents and drank a nice glass of white wine.
I spent the past few weeks designing a website for an awesome new gaming company based in Australia. I’m happy to say the website is almost finished! I will put up a link to their website as soon as it’s finished.
I promised to put up a new design on this website a while ago, and as you can tell nandawrites.com is still using the old design. A few days before I had planned to put up the new design, I ran into some problems, and I’ve been too busy to fix them. I promise I will, as soon as possible!

If that’s what you can call it…

Today is the day a lot of people have been looking forward to. Christmas. A day to spend with family and friends, people you love. As you might know, us Dutch people have two days of Christmas. This afternoon I am going to visit my aunt and uncle and tonight I’m going to watch a film. Tomorrow me and my parents are going to do this thing called raclette (we call it ‘gourmet’). Raclette is my favourite part of Christmas, as everyone gets to prepare their own food.
