Online dating is for everyone

Many people make the assumption that online dating is for people who don’t have the social skills to meet someone in real life. The truth is that some people are too busy to go out and meet people or want to get to know someone better before they go out on a date with them.
Through online dating people are given the chance to meet others they otherwise would never have met. Although the opinions about online dating are divided, thousands of people get married every year, thanks to online dating, so it is definitely worth a try if you’re up for it.

I honestly think that online dating is great. You’re right though, it has nthing to do with being socially capable… My cousin just got married a year ago to someone he met on an online dating site as well. So it if works, then why the hell not? =)
I’ve never tried online dating as in purposefully using a dating website and browsing profiles. However, I have had an online relationship with someone online that I never met who I came into contact with via a general social network website.
I think the taboo of online dating is declining which is good. The internet is a great way to meet people, as long as one is careful and takes sensible precautions. As the previous commenter said, many people nowadays meet their future husband or wife through the web.
All in all, I think it’s a great modern development.
I think online dating is a great way to meet people especially if you have a hectic lifestyle and you lack social skills like myself. You’re right though, it’s a good way to get to know someone before you meet them face to face.
My sister met her husband now through Facebook. Technology is evolving so much, it’s just amazing. Although, you need to be aware of the dangers of meeting people online. Lots of psychos in this world! xD
