The first thing I noticed while I was reading The Fury was that the mood of the story had changed. The third and fourth books from the The Vampire Diaries series are a lot darker than the first two books. While the first two books are mostly about the relationship between Stefan and Elena, The Fury and The Reunion focus on the evil has come to Fell’s Church.
The storyline is so gripping that it was hard for me to put the books down. I wanted to know what happened next and I really cared for the characters when something unexpected happened.
In The Reunion we get to know Damon better and we find out he’s not as bad as he seems to be. Still, Damon remains a mystery, and I think that’s what’s so interesting about Damon. You never know what he’s up to.
The Vampire Diaries may be a series written for young adults, but I’d recommend it to anyone, young and old. And if you like the first two books, you will definitely like The Fury and The Reunion.
